  This past Sunday evening, around 6pm four of my girlfriends (adults) and I went to TGI Friday's Coconut Point for dinner, along with two children, each 8 yrs old. Upon arriving, we were greeted by a male host. We told him "We have five adults and two children." He proceeded to tell us it would be a 25-30 minute wait. The restaurant was empty.
  
  Due to the long wait, we asked if it would be possible to sit in the bar. He proceeded to tell us, "The server in the bar is very busy, it would be a really long time until she was able to serve you." Puzzled by this response, we asked if we could sit outside. He stated, "You CAN'T sit outside. I just sat the server a six top out there." I looked outside, and saw a table SET for six people, with only two people in the party ACTUALLY seated there at that point in time.
  
  I am in the Hospitality Industry, and coincidentally, I worked at this particular Friday's as both a hostess and a server. Never, in fifteen years in this industry, have I had an initial experience such as this one at a restaurant. We felt extremely unwelcome. Whether the restaurant was busy or not; whether the server "just got sat a six top" (and why did he use restaurant terminology with us) outside or not; whether the server was busy in the bar or not; you don't tell guests they can't sit somewhere.
  
  Why not go above and beyond? The host could've easily sat us and just brought water to buy the server some time. He should've given the server the opportunity to stop by our table and say, "Ladies, I'll be with you in just a few minutes, I'm just a bit busy at the moment." If we each ordered $25 worth of food and drinks/adult, and the two kids each had a $5 meal, plus a 20% tip that equates to roughly $165 in missed revenue.
  
  I am truly disappointed in how we were treated. Hopefully this doesn't happen to someone else.
